Self-supporting aerial laying
The fibers are positioned in loose tubes that are made of high-modulus plastic and filled with tube gel. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around a NON-metallic central strength member to form a cable core.The core is filled with water-blocking compound. Stranded steel wires are applied as the messenger. Finally, a figure-8 PE outer jacket is extruded.
