Self-supporting Aerial Installation
The 2-288 fibers are positioned in PBT loose tubes filled with tube gel. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around a non-metallic FRP central strength member to form a cable core.The core is filled with water-blocking compound. Then armored with corrugated steel tape. Stranded steel wires support as the messenger. Finally, a figure-8 PE outer jacket is extruded.
