Stranded Loose Tube Armored Fiber Optic Cable with 2 Parallel Steel Wires (GYTSW)

GYTSW cable construction:

The 250um fibers are positioned in a loose tube which is made of high modulus plastic and flled with a water-resistant filling compound; A steel wire (with coating if necessary for cable with high fiber count) locates in the center of core as the metallic strength member; Tubes are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular cable core; The Corrugted Steel Tape (CST) is longitudinally applied over the cable core which is filled with the flling compound to protect it from water ingress; Two parallel steel wires are placed at the two sides of the steel tape as additional strength member, and finally the cable is completed with a HDPE sheath.

GYXTW cable construction:

The fibers are housed in a loose tube that is made of high-modulus plastic and filled with tube filling compound. The water blocking tape is applied around the central tube. Then the tubes are armored with a Corrugated Steel Tape (CST) logitudinally. Two parallel steel wires are embeded in the outer PE jacket.
